Am I Pregnant?
Am I Pregnant?
Wondering if you could be pregnant? Common early pregnancy symptoms include:1
- A missed period
- Frequent urination
- Fatigue
- Morning sickness (can include noon and night)
- Sore, swollen breasts
- Increased hunger, food cravings, and aversions
- Bloating
- Mood swings
- Constipation
Pregnancy symptoms can vary from person to person and even from pregnancy to pregnancy.
How Early Do Pregnancy Symptoms Start?
It depends. Some people may notice pregnancy symptoms around the time of a missed period, while others may not experience symptoms until later.2

When Should I Take a Pregnancy Test?
You can take a pregnancy test as soon as you’ve missed your period. However, taking a test too soon may give you a false negative because your pregnancy hormone levels may not yet be high enough for the test to detect. Waiting several days after a missed period may provide a more accurate result.2
A positive pregnancy test is an important first step, but an ultrasound can provide additional information about your pregnancy, including how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is developing in the uterus.
