At Daybreak LifeCare Center, we offer free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds because we believe you should have access to confirm your pregnancy in a safe, shame-free space.
But maybe you’re wondering what an ultrasound even is in the first place and why you might want one!
An ultrasound is a noninvasive imaging test that creates a real-time picture of the tiny baby growing inside your body.
How does the Ultrasound work?
During an ultrasound, our provider will apply a thin layer of gel to your skin and then pass a device called a probe over your belly. The ultrasound waves are transmitted onto a screen where you will be able to see a glimpse of your baby.
What is the purpose of an Ultrasound?
An ultrasound will do the following:
confirmation of intrauterine pregnancy
presence of a heart beat
measurements to determine gestation age
